Our Story - Healthworks Rehab

Since 1998, HealthWorks Rehab has been dedicated to serving patients in Ville Platte and the surrounding communities. Physical therapists David Vidrine and Andy Poché began providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services at Ville Platte Medical Center before taking the next step in 2003 and establishing their own private practice. Their outpatient rehabilitation clinic opened on West LaSalle Street at Natchitoches Road in Ville Platte, allowing them to expand their commitment to personalized patient care.

In late 2013, physical therapist Clay Landreneau joined the team, and HealthWorks Rehab expanded its services by opening a second outpatient clinic in Mamou at Savoy Medical Center.

As HealthWorks Rehab celebrates its 23rd year in 2026, the practice remains deeply involved in the community. Each year, in partnership with local physicians and healthcare providers, HealthWorks Rehab hosts free preseason athletic screenings for area high school students. These mandatory screenings help ensure student-athletes are ready for participation and serve students from Mamou High School, Pine Prairie High School, Sacred Heart High School, and Ville Platte High School at no cost to the schools or families.

Today, HealthWorks Rehab continues to make excellence in patient care, recovery, and overall well-being its highest priority. With two convenient locations and a dedicated team of rehabilitation professionals, HealthWorks Rehab is committed to helping patients achieve their recovery goals and return to the activities they enjoy.
